Cut the piece of 2 4 left over after cutting the 63 roof ridge so it fits right under the ridge on the front of the playhouse.

We ended up using this black mesh tarp. It blocks most of the sun breathes well so air still. So finally a year and a half after building this playground we added a roof. All the walls are built using 2x2s and exterior 1 4 plywood.

It took a long time because i couldn t decide what kind of roof material to use. A pitched roof was a little too ambitious for me to attempt because of the precise angles and complicated cuts it would require. When we left off on the playhouse build yesterday we had the deck built the frame of the playhouse done and we were moving up to the roof. This will help support the front of the roof since it is completely open. The walls are very light easy for one person to build and move. Invest in high quality lumber and plywood as the components will be exposed to bad weather.
