Any holes and gouges larger than 1 2 in.

For holes up to and gouges narrower than 1 2 in use elmer s interior exterior carpenter s wood filler.
Any product intended for interior use will crack and wash out in short order.

Fill the siding holes with wood filler.
With luck the nails will pull out a bit so that when you tap the board back the nailheads will pop out just enough to get the pry bar under them.
You should lay the craft sticks on the side they won t be seen from.
Use a putty knife to push the mixture into the nail holes quickly since superglue dries so quickly.
The type of filler follows the size of the patch.
Tap the pry bar up under the undamaged siding at each nail shaft then push the bar gently.
Step 4 hold the knife roughly perpendicular to the siding patch to finish the surface of the patch and taper out the edges of the mortar patch blending it into the surrounding siding.
You don t need a lot of glue just enough to bind the sawdust together and create a thick paste.
Apply the patch product to the damaged area with the flexible putty knife to fill in any indentations or holes.
Use a putty knife to force the filler inside the hole making sure to fill in the hole and to completely cover the opening.
Put a couple of drops of wood glue on each end of the shim and allow the glue to set for up to 5 minutes.
How to patch small holes in t1 11 siding.
Epoxy putty is a commonly recommended wood filler for use in repairing woodpecker damage.
Place the craft sticks on the back of the hole and secure them with wood glue.
Scrape away any excess with the putty knife when you re done and allow it to air dry.
To patch wood using this method you ll need sawdust from the specific wood you are patching.
If you intend to paint the patched area to match the siding use pre mixed bridging and patching compound sold at paint stores and home improvement centers.
Should be filled with an epoxy filler or bondo.
