One Sheet Of Plywood Bookshelf

I assembled this bookshelf carcass using wood glue and 3 4 pocket holes with 1 1 4.

My goal with this bookcase was to maximize a full sheet of 3 4 plywood. 2 full sheets of 8 x 4 x 3 4 plywood and 1 piece that measures 14 x 48. 6 12 x 2 x 4. I ve got a detailed post here about how to quickly easily.

The design i came up with does just that. The 2x2 base and the 1 4 plywood backer are inexpensive but also optional pieces to add on. One sheet plywood bookshelf step 1. 2 8 sticks of trim at least 2 wide 2 1 x 2.

Joining this all together with dowels creates a strong piece of furniture as well as eliminates the need for any fasteners. Cut down one plywood sheet for bookshelf carcass. There is very little scrap lumber left over. I also included room in that sheet for a simple dowel hole jig.

With adjustable shelves the possibilities are endless.
